When Norton brought its fan zone to MotoGP at Silverstone, DJ Knight Music supplied the DJs and a Norton-branded DJ Defender to provide the soundtrack throughout the weekend.
The brief called for music that complemented the brand and the motorsport setting, creating an atmosphere where visitors could spend time, connect and enjoy the experience between the racing action.

For a fan zone, the music needs to work with the activity around it. Visitors arrive and leave throughout the day, and the atmosphere changes as the event unfolds.
Kwame Knight oversaw DJ selection, artist liaison and music logistics, choosing DJs suited to the brief. Their role was to read the audience and adapt their sets, keeping the music engaging while supporting the wider activation.
Rather than approaching every session as a peak-time party set, the focus was on judging the moment: knowing when to build the energy and when to let the music provide a backdrop to conversation and activity.

The DJ Defender brought a distinctive visual presence to the fan zone. Branded for Norton, it combined a DJ performance setup with a focal point that connected the music to the activation.
Its vehicle-based format was particularly fitting for a motorsport environment, giving the DJs a setting that felt part of the experience.

Across the weekend, the DJs helped give the Norton fan zone its own musical identity. The aim was to create a welcoming, lively setting that worked for visitors spending a few minutes exploring as well as those staying longer.
The project brought together DJ Knight Music’s expertise in DJ selection and performance with the wider event production coordinated by Events by Knight. Each team had a clear role, with music delivery planned around the needs of the activation.
DJ Knight Music provides DJs, live musicians and DJ Defender experiences for brand activations, sporting events and company celebrations.
